These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TypingGuild ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of typingguild.com and all related content, features, typing speed tests, lessons, games, and tools (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

TypingGuild provides free, browser-based typing education tools including:

• Typing speed tests with configurable durations
• Structured lessons for skill development
• Typing games for practice and engagement
• Local progress history stored in your browser

The Service is provided free of charge. We may display third-party advertisements, including through Google AdSense, to support the platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

You must be at least 13 years old to use TypingGuild, or have verifiable parental or guardian consent if you are under 13. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

TypingGuild does not require user registration. Your practice data (test scores, lesson completion, game progress) is stored locally in your browser using local storage. You are responsible for maintaining your device and browser settings. We are not responsible for lost progress due to cleared browser data, device changes, or browser updates.

You agree to use TypingGuild only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or denial-of-service attacks
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
• Misrepresent your affiliation with TypingGuild or impersonate another person or entity
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, spam, or harmful content through any interaction with the Service
• Use the Service to collect or harvest personal information about other users
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features or advertising displayed on the site

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, lesson content, game mechanics, software, and compilation of materials, is owned by TypingGuild or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent, except as permitted by applicable law.

TypingGuild does not collect or store your typing performance data on our servers under normal operation — it remains in your browser. You retain ownership of any information you generate through use of the Service on your device.

If you contact us or otherwise submit information to TypingGuild, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that communication solely to respond to you and improve the Service.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services (such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Vercel Analytics). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective policies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. TypingGuild is an educational practice tool. We do not guarantee any specific improvement in typing speed, accuracy, or professional outcomes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TYPINGGUILD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS FREE, CLAUSE (A) WILL TYPICALLY BE ZERO.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TypingGuild and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

TypingGuild may display advertisements provided by third parties, including Google AdSense. Advertisers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants mandatory local consumer protection rights, those rights are not waived by this section where applicable law prohibits waiver.

We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date indicates when changes were last made. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TypingGuild regarding the Service.
