A jacket costs $40, and it's on sale for 25% off. 25% of $40 is $10, so the sale price is $30. If sales tax is 8%, the tax on $30 is $2.40, for a total of $32.40. A pizza is cut into 8 slices. If you eat 3, you ate 3/8 of the pizza, and 5/8 is left. Half of the class, or 1/2, chose soccer, and 1/4 chose basketball. The game is on 11/14, and tickets cost $6.50 each.
