Many first jobs, at a grocery store, a cafe or a summer camp, start with an online application. Fill in every field, even the optional ones, and check your spelling. Use a professional email address, such as first.last@example.com, not a nickname. List your availability honestly; a manager would rather know now that you can't work Sunday mornings. If a question asks about experience, include babysitting, volunteering, school clubs and sports. They all show you are responsible.
